Here at SMI, we’re rolling up our sleeves to make a difference, with a goal to be 90% plastic free by 2030. Through doing this, we have made the committed decision to give our gloves a sustainable packaging makeover.
GETTING DRASTIC ON PLASTIC
The introduction of cardboard packaging is just one of several initiatives we've undertaken to achieve our plastic reduction targets. Combined with other measures, we've successfully reduced our overall packaging consumption by a remarkable 70% already.
THE NUMBERS SPEAKS VOLUMES
The impact of this change is substantial. In 2022, we used approximately 2 million plastic bags for our ROKWEAR glove packaging. Fast forward to 2023, and that number has plummeted to zero. This simple switch has saved a whopping 2 million plastic bags from ending up in landfills and oceans!
