SMI have focused on measuring and calculating our operational carbon emissions – from heating our office, to manufacturing, packaging, and transporting our products. Working with Climate Partner, a leading provider for climate solutions, we have utilised this data to help SMI to reduce our carbon emissions and offset unabated emissions through our chosen projects.

Here at SMI, we’re rolling up our sleeves to make a difference, with a goal to be 90% plastic free by 2030. Through doing this, we have made the committed decision to give our gloves a sustainable packaging makeover.

Earlier this month we gathered for our annual strategy launch day - an opportunity for the leadership team to share exciting updates, companywide targets, and upcoming developments to the entirety of our head office team with the overall aim of hitting our three-year trajectory and reaching the peak of our SMI journey to the summit!

At SMI we are actively seeking ways to support and get involved with the local community. We recently took part in the Great British Beach Clean with Polyco, an annual event organised by the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) in the UK.

It brings together volunteers from all walks of life to clean up coastal areas, removing litter and raising awareness about the importance of preserving our precious marine environments.
