Two leading PPE brands join forces: SMI Group acquires Swift360

As part of our continued growth journey and commitment to delivering a first-class customer experience, we’re excited to announce that SMI Group is welcoming PPE and workwear specialist, Swift360, into the SMI family.

The acquisition was completed on Tuesday 19th October 2021, and we’re looking forward to continued evolution, driven by the combined attributes of both companies.

As family owned and operated companies, the two organisations have a number of synergies and shared values, enabling a smooth process of integration to maximise the benefits we offer to our customers, suppliers and employees, as well as the communities in which we work.

Although in the coming months closer assimilation will inevitably occur, currently, there are no planned changes to our internal or external processes. We’re mindful that to maintain the standards that our partners are used to, it’s important to introduce any updates as gradually as possible.

We’ll continue to operate from our current locations, meaning that we can retain every member of the current team and fully maintain service continuity.

These enhancements will contribute to an improved level of service, reduced lead times and greater product choice and availability. This new alliance also presents opportunities to work more closely together with our suppliers, and drive increased value from our partnerships.
