With 2022 ending, SMI are reflecting on our key achievements and overcome challenges throughout the year. We have grown from strength to strength and have taken the positive steps needed to streamline our processes, products, and services.

Firstly, our SMI and Swift360 teams moved into our new 10,000 sq. ft Head Office in Petersfield, Hampshire. Split over two floors, complete with a product showroom and conveniently located just off the A3, only twenty-five miles from our Kites Croft Distribution Centre in Fareham. SMI are now in a much better position for our teams to work in partnership and expand as a business.

Secondly, we introduced our ESG Framework to act and take responsibility to help preserve our planet, beginning our road map to becoming NetZero by 2050. Our new ESG officer, Elizabeth Mellor, settled into her new role September of this year, and in these 4 months has worked tremendously hard to help SMI achieve Carbon Neutral status, launch a Sustainable Workwear and PPE range, and improve our Workwear Recycling Scheme. This is only the beginning for SMI, as we continue to provide the same level of protection we offer our customers, to the planet and its people.

Lastly, in November of this year, exactly one year on from acquiring Swift360, we were thrilled to announce Swift360 would be trading as SMI, merging under a single brand. Setting out a foundation for a stronger service and improved product range, the decision to unify the businesses was clear to creating a stronger future - together.

Our Vision for a Stronger Future

We plan to continue investing in our people and innovation to ensure their development, focusing on building a healthier business environment, centred around our employee’s wellbeing.

SMI is passionate about becoming an integral part of the local and wider communities. We will be taking a proactive approach, focusing on community projects helping to improve lives and engage employees, bridging the gap and building relations helping SMI to become a valued pillar within the community.

"SMI are extremely proud of the collaborative and creative steps we have taken this past year, and we are excited to continue on our journey as a business to provide a better future for our stakeholders. Our company’s vision is to be the supply lifeline to Britain’s workforce, making it our mission to ensure vital workplace products are more accessible, affordable, and sustainable through our everyday investment in people and innovation.” - Blake Prisgrove, CEO.
